The Latino Issues Forum and MAYA are in the process of conducting a landmark survey interviewing California Latino leaders to learn more about Latinos’ health care policy priorities. Research participants include leaders from the area of Latino civil rights, health care, immigrant rights, employment, provider groups, and business.
The questions from this study will focus on four key areas:
- The primary policies we should be focusing on to better inform Latino consumers
- The barriers Latinos face in health care
- Solutions to policy problems.
- Ensuring that Latinos are more informed.
Event Overview
U.S. Health Disparities Forum
“Living Better Through Communication”
This forum is a one-of-a-kind event bringing business and government leaders together who are interested in closing health care gaps among minorities.
The objective of the forum is to share successful communication tools and strategies aimed at spreading messages to underserved members of our society. We will discuss new opportunities for preventive care and education for minorities in the health care industry, as well as bridging the gap within the national health care system.
MAYA is also teaming up with the Latino Issues Forum to release a report at the forum highlighting the current status of health care, policy concerns and messaging to minority groups.
